Hi all from sunny Tampa, FL, USA. I'm loving all this so far, but have a question. How long has the Tembe cam been down and does anybody know when it will be back up again? Thanks!

Hi Amy, Many of us use MWSnap to capture screen shots - you can download it here Welcome to Africam! __________________

Thank you, donnabac! That is sooo good to know! I absolutely love this site. Can't stop watching. Yes, I know all about cameras vs. conditions. I'm a freelance wildlife photographer and know very well how conditions outside can affect equipment of all kinds, lighting conditions, etc. I'm very excited to hear that the Tembe cam may be up and running again soon. Good luck with that, technicians! Also, Donna, I saw your screenshots the other day and was curious what software you're using to make them. They are awesome! Thanks for all your input and I look forward to your reply! Amy

Hello Amy, Tembe cam has been down several days. It is solar powered. Due to insufficient sun over the last week or so, the batteries have been low and finally stopped. The plan is to install additional solar panels tomorrow and that it will be working again by Thursday. These cams are in remote areas and getting parts and technicians is not always easy. |
Amy, I'm sorry I didn't see your post until now. Thanks Ingwe for answering
. I use MWsnap to take pictures and Photobucket to host them.
