Just discovered Africam & I want to thank all who are involved & who bring these images and sound to us. I will most definately subscribe for the full service & help support this wonderful site. I have just spent the last 2 hours watching that fantastic group of baboons ( Friday, Oct 6 4pm local time). I am simply amazed at how close the camera can zoom into. Watching an infant Baboon fall alseep in her mothers arms, to be able to see right into her eyes as they slowly closed & the young Baboons investigate the camera and suddenly discover it was moving above them was priceless. I'm not sure if its the fact that its 'live' or what....but I'm enthralled. I have a computer in my room & I fall asleep to the audio. I havent slept this well in 5 yrs. I do have a question to anyone who may have an answer... What is the average lag time between Nkorho & when we see the video? Thanks again to all who have provided this treasure.
Welcome aboard! AfriCam is very addictive, you won't want to leave your seat.
Hi Aztekgyrl, welcome to the Boma and to Africam, a wonderful place to meet new ppl and make new friends, they come from around the globe here, enjoy!

Welcome, I am new to the site too and like you have the cam on till I want to sleep. One way of doing it is to turn the sound off for the night. Try that one and the frogs etc will not disturb you.
Welcome to AfriCam!
I do that often...after luncn...when I'm tired.... It's a very relaxing nap
Mmmm yeah I was subjected to the frogs te very first time I clicked on...... it was a bit of an overwhelming greeting...but I figured perhaps its breeding season I kinda like amphibians so I still enjoyed their concert...lol I do understand the cam is 'live'....but having worked in TV news, I know that video signal takes time to get from point A to point B....especially when its halfway around the world. I'm sure it must take some time to go from Nkorho to the satelite, back down to wherever and then out to us? Just a curious technical question :) PS- too late...I'm addicted. Pete's is on my screen, too
Hi Astekgyrl Welcome And gerda is right (Hi Gerda ) you won't get any sleep when the frogs start!!!
Welcome to Africam, be carefull it is very addictive !

Be sure to check the cam in an hour or 2, than you will hear the daily Frog concert ! I don't think you"ll fall asleep when the frogs are around ...
