Hi elle99, and welcome. I have to get ready for work, but I hope you stay and chat with the rest around the little Watering Hole in SA. I also hope we get to see more of you here. Y'know, the old saying "the more the merrier" and all that fun stuff. Happy camming. __________________

Welcome to Africam and the Boma, elle99! The 'Watering Hole' forum is the right place if you want to talk about sighting on Nkorho Cam. We have two daily topics for Nkorho Cam:

S'okay, I'll respond to my own post~~~I no sooner posted my plea for someone to take me by the hand and guide me through this maze of not-quite-real-time-but-valiantly-trying-to-be-real-time-chat-and/or-discussions and I promptly got lost and couldn't find my way back to the thread bearing my nic and raised hand. And more importantly how does one know if/when someone is responding to one's post? Do I keep hitting refresh button? I see there is a learning curve to be discovered, some reading to be done in instruction/introduction section. But not tonight! Soon. (all-things-being-equal I can find my way back!

Hey elle, you'll be a pro in no time. I usually scan around and read the different threads. When I click back into the "watering hole" forum mainpage, for example, I can see how many "new" posts have occurred and when the last one was posted. Yes, it's one of the many plus factors to being signed in as a board member. Of course, hitting the refresh button is always a good option too, lol. __________________

Hello Sabine~~ Thank you for your note-of-welcome, you must have posted it while I answered my own post! I shall take a look at your helpful links and try and cooridinate a chat time with you! I'm on east coast..maritime...navigated tropical storm noel last night so that's my excuse for not being quite up to tackling South Africa tonight. Again, thanks for taking time to say hello!

Hello Katja!! Thank you for your greeting and suggestions regarding chat about Nkhorho. I can see that in the brief hour that I've joined this forum I can only handle one small quiet corner at a time so I shall try and find my way back to this niche in coming weeks, hopefully we will get a chance to all talk and gush about the wonders of nature through the eyes of the Afri-pan-cam!

Thanks for the good wishes at work tonight. I only work two hours outside my home on a Sunday night and love my work, so I promise to have fun. Be careful about those bread crumbs, though. You know in our part of the world, wolves, moose, deer, coyotes, and every bird on either side of the border will be snatching them up quickly as you lay them down. A large lettered cry for help on any forum around here will bring our awesome moderators to take your hand and gently lead you back to us. Talk to you soon.

Since the cam is down for right now I enjoy watching the Barney Cam. This is one of the Whitehouse dogs. They have lots of pictures, and on the right hand side you can watch the films made by Barney. I sure will miss this dog. Barney I used quick time because windows media would make you lose the WE cam. __________________

Welcome Elle! It's quieter than usual around here with the rainy season and fewer critters...but it will be hopping in a few months so good you're getting your sea legs now. __________________

It sort of cracks me up right now to watch the dramatic Nkorho video every time I log in... only to segue to...
Another day of E&T floatin' around the pool. Talk about anti-climatic LOL! __________________

Either that or someone's firing off a 21-gun artillery salute to welcome Elle99. WOW - that was one loud clap of thunder just then! __________________
