Client-side playlists numbering is essentially meaningless. Your player generates a generic playlist everytime it does something and calls it playlist one...and it is usually empty. Throughout the computer session...each time you make the player do something else (like refresh it)...it generates a new playlist and numbers consecutively. It does this in case your player does something you really like, so you can save the adresses and settings for another time. At which point you would save the playlist and change the name from Playlist 54 to whatever you like. The "auto-clicker" you all have to use for Djuma is nothing more than a client-side playlist.

On the other hand....a server-side playlist is another critter all-together and is where I am currently concentrating my troubleshooting efforts for those still unable to get the new feed. If Africam is using a client-side playlist to facilitate ads or the intro...then it might be involved in the problems. I posted about this in the camera problems forum already.

More info on playlists:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/howto/articles/adinsertion.aspx

From that article:

Client-side playlists can be created by Windows Media® Player, Web scripts, or through a text editor like Notepad. Server-side playlists can be created through the user interface in Windows Media Services 9 Series or through a text editor like Notepad. The main difference between client-side playlists and server-side playlists is that when client-side playlists are used, Windows Media Player has control of the streaming experience, but when server-side playlists are used, a server running Windows Media Services 9 Series has control of the streaming experience. A server-side playlist can be dynamic, meaning that you can modify the playlist even while a client computer is receiving content based on that playlist. This lets you customize a playlist for a particular user, for example.

Not sure Ex but I see the playlist number change quite often on opening live cams using a WMP based player. I once had a playlist79 on the Djuma cam. LOL

Don't trust this site to really be actually LIVE - you can log on and see Playlist 1 at the bottom ovf little viewing screen they expect you to use, log off & back on and see maybe Playlist 2- or 10. What's with this unless they're recorded playlists that they can run when they wish.

Again, my request is for the new live feed, thanks, Larry

Larry I recommend a trip to Nkorho to satisfy your disblief, it is rather unbelievable really

Regards
