Thanks for identifying the civet. I'm still learning, can't tell between aardvark and civet. But looking at the pics of a civet it is a real good match, and you probably have pics of it.

Was that a Civet just in for a drink? and here's another critter, maybe an hyaena?

I have to admit when it first appeared my first thought was that it looked like a beaver because of its profile. My next thought was anteater. But I vote aardvark.

Canadian here and looked like a beaver to me ROFL..but racking my brain and trying to think of similar body type I wondered 'anteater'? just before It went out of sight.....didn't see the snout clearly tho..any other ideas? __________________

I wish I knew how to take pics. That thing was not a hyena just now. It had a long droopy tail that may have been striped. It had a rounded back profile and a point nose. It was the size of a big raccoon it seemed to me (but I know it was not). I have no idea what it was.
Looking at the database, if I had to guess what it was, I would say it looks most like an aardvark |
