I cant' believe I missed the wild dogs, my car was in for repairs today and had to fetch it got stuck in traffic.......Uhrrrghh

I did notice that the gucks gave the dogs wide berth.  Afraid of them?  Or just cautious with new neighbors?

It does seem odd...same with the Jackals...they run around here and nothing seems to be afraid of them...maybe we just have tame dogs on the camWink

Wild dogs are team hunters, so maybe the wildebeest didn't feel threatened by only 4 dogs... ? Undecided

Some years ago I saw wild dogs in South Africa. I think it was a pack of about 10 animals. They were close to wildebeests, and the wildebeests didn't see too concerned. So I was surprised to read that wild dogs even go for big prey. That was new to me.

thank you Katja.  I find it odd then that the wildies were actually chasing the Wild dogs then.  I had read that they are incredibily efficient hunters with an extremely fast kill.
