I can't believe I missed the Lioness!  Of all things, I was out having my mane done at the hairdresser.  Thanks so much, Sagresta for posting the link to the video.  I don't think that was Garbo.  Garbo seemed to have a fuller, less long face than the Lioness I just watched.  As I remember, Garbo has a fuller face, but thinner body than that of this latest Lioness.  But, it's been a while since we've actually gotten a close up view of the confirmed Garbo.

Rog, the Pete Seeger documentary was very good.  It really covers his life well.  A must see.

It was noisy, crashed off, and looked like a very large hyena. But it didn't have it's head down and slinky like they do.

edit: keep your eyes open for me.  Gotta run do mom stuff.Innocent

Oh Man this is freaky!!!!

Here's something from the IMDB:

Cast selection

In 1948 Wilder discussed the Norma Desmond character with Greta Garbo (who had not made a movie since 1941) in the hope she might return to the screen. However, she expressed little interest. The role was then offered to Mae West who declared herself too young to play a former silent-movie star. Wilder recalled that "in a bout of insanity" he and Charles Brackett visited Mary Pickford. She was interested but cautious and was ruled out when she disagreed with the storyline. They also approached Pola Negri who "threw a tantrum at the mere suggestion of playing a has-been" and refused the role.[2]

Norma Desmond was the character name.  I think Gloria Swanson is from the silent area tho.
