***NEW DAY AT NKORHO***
NKORHO Watering Hole Chat - Wednesday, July 18th
I wonder if the other ellies preceive the collared ellie as different from themselves. When the collared ellie approached the WH the other ellie kept flapping his ears. Then he went away. He came back in a few minutes, and I thought I saw him put his trunk in the collared ellies mouth. Did not see if the collared responded the same way. I hope someone got a video of that interaction.
One was named Mac. Would that not be great if this was Mac? I wish the trackers of the Ellies had a website so that you could keep up with the Ellies to.
Yes! That would be great. Good to see their range, what they eat etc.,
They chose 7 bull Ellies. One was named Mac. Would that not be great if this was Mac? I wish the trackers of the Ellies had a website so that you could keep up with the Ellies to.
I missed the ellie with the collar I remember reading somewhere, and I don't remember where, maybe EP website about a collared ellie that was thought to have come from Kruger.
I love the Steenbok too. They have big eyes. In the NP Sightings forum Gerda gave 2 great sights talking about the collared Elephants. I like the interaction of the two that came today. I hope the collared Ellie comes back so we can discuss them at that time.
The duiker is about the same height as the Steenbokkie, but heavier ...... 35 - 46 lbs as opposed to 24lbs for the steenbok. I love the little steenboks, they are so delicate looking
Thanks Ingwe--I tried to google that too, but could not find the right answer. That is really tiny. I figure the Duiker must be about the same size. When Karula killed the Duiker he looked so small in her mouth. I thought it must have been a baby. Now I think it must have been an adult.
I had to google that (I think I'm the only person in the States on metric )
52cm = 1.70 (ish) feet
52 centimeters = 1.70603675 feet52 centimeters = 1.70603675 feet
Hate to ask this, but what is the conversion from 52cm to feet or inches?
