And from Wikipedia (aren't you sorry you asked?): Albino squirrels are thought by some to be a source of good luck. The Albino Squirrel Preservation Society was founded at the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. Olney, Illinois, is home of the world's largest known albino-squirrel colony. Kenton, Tennessee, is home to about 200 albino squirrels. Brevard, North Carolina and Marionville, Missouri have a substantial population of white (not albino) squirrels. Western Kentucky University has a locally famous population of white squirrels. Exeter, Ontario in Canada is known for having non-albino white squirrels, believed to be the result of a genetic mutation in the early 20th century. White squirrels are commonly seen in Dayton, Ohio. (MY HOME TOWN!!!!! i NEVER KNEW!!!!) Jim Belushi voiced an anthropomorphic squirrel named Benny in The Wild. __________________

BTW....on the way home from work, on my street....I saw a white squirrel run in front of me. I stopped to get a closer look, but he ran into the woods. First time I ever saw one. Anybody ever see one before? Are they rare? Couldn't tell if it had pink eyes like a full albino....but snow white fur..... maxx, they have their own preservation site (who knew?): http://orgs.unt.edu/asps/index1.htm __________________

Hiya.... Wow....this image quality is far cry from what we had yesterday...that's for sure. If the lion-bokkie-sheep comes in tonight...we should be able to count whiskers along with a good ID.

Well, the picture is beautifully clear now...if only we could see the finger. But I would be afraid for anyone to touch it now! __________________
