Hi, Ann...don't think we've met...welcome and glad you're enjoying this site....awesome, huh? Right ... ellie dung and a lot of it!! LOL The rustling sound is just the wind whistling thru the trees. The critters know not to venture out when they can't hear or smell what's out there. Looks like zoomie is up. __________________

It is ellie dung from several days ago. Can't remember now what day, but Gerda posted photos of the ellie that did it, caught in the very act! I have been gone the past 4 hours and am actually glad that nothing exciting happened while I was gone! I was afraid that the leopard, lion and cheetah were all going to have a party while I was gone. I laugh at the post about the sign behind the mound! It does seem unfair that a number of animals showed up when it was too fuzzy to recogize a baby buff, from a bokkie, to a lion, to a sheep or a collie with no tail! lol I suggested it could have been a wolf in sheep's clothing. lol I appreciate the clear feed that at the moment is not cutting out on me and not letting me back on. Now, I will read Harry Potter while I am waiting for something really special to happen. Maybe the rhino with the tired feet that was soaking them earlier will be back. That was different. Has it been raining there? I know that most of the constant noise is wind, but what is the rustling sound?

I believe it is a large pile of ellie dung.... Apparently a bad-mannered ellie decided to drop anchor there a few days back....

Hiya everyone! I'm curious. What is that white area off to the right, just above the waterhole? Is is a plant or an animal or what? It's been a while since I've been here and I don't remember that being there. I'm just curious. Hope everyone is doing well!! (and staying cool, for all those in the Mid-west USA...I know it's incredibly hot!)

Maxx, you must be like me, as soon as I open the door I go straight to the computer & start firing it up! Darn work just gets in the way doesn't it! Not quite.... First, my cat will pester me for attention. Once he gets a few ear scratches and gets told he is "the bestest kitty in the world"....then I can go about my business.

Yes, I should be smacked Sherran. While we are practically on top of the Washington state border, we do actually get a little snow in the winter. And, our fruit trees do need a dormant season to be able to blossom and give us an abundance of cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, apples and plums! I tend to forget that when it's nice and toasty!!
