have you considered putting a lightning rod at the cam tree ? -------------------------------------------- are thier any plans to dredge out nkorho pan like they did at elephant plains - the mud was 2-3 feet deep their and nkorho must be the same ------------------------------------------------------------ an idea to keep the elephants from digging out the water outlet at nkorho pan - put a 400 pound block of cement ( or two ) with a ring in it that the tractor can lift placed over the water out let - at nkorho pan' it would most likely stop the elephants from getting at the pipe- the rocks are not large enought well thats what i would do lol -------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------- is their any kind of a safari jeep drive cam in the future for AFRICAM - ? even a time delayed video of one jeep trip a week would help give all members an idea of what the guests experience - and we could see the land and animals birds ect that are seen on a drive - thank you barry

over the years i have observed that at night - 90 % of the time all species of animals - come to what we call - THE FINGER could the cam be zoomed in on this area when it is not being maned by a zoomi many regular members also have mentioned in chat - they would like the cam zoomed in closer to the finger if you look through this - NITE LIFE SITE - you will see the majority of cam pics taken at -NK- are at the finger area thank you - barry __________________

Would occasionally like to see video clips like Josh did of interesting sightings and areas around NK and EP. Click here for his clip. The pictures Christy and Penny brought back really made me feel more of the entire area. __________________

My question is: In the three years, which sighting(s) was/were the best? The lions?
and could someone please record it? I think i'll miss it .(

Hello Gerda yes it would be good if the cam did rotate like Barry said towards Kruger if possible, and give more view and a bit of more light at night when the infrered light comes on, its a brilliant cam. Kind regards Doris __________________

Happy anniversary, Africam - and a big thanks to everyone involved in the enterprise. Even tho' I'm still having a lot of probs viewing since the changes, it's been a delightful experience, and has helped to keep beloved Africa alive for me. Cheers!

Gday guys happy anniversary for nkorho pan love this cam and the family of people that bring it to us.. Im curious if africam has a mission statement . something that outlines why you started , the goals you hope to achieve and have achieved and where you would like to see africam in ten yrs time..?? For my next question i have to ask if ist possible that maybe some time in near future we could organize a touch footy game between ep and nk .. or maybe the admin team could take on ep and nk .. would be great to see all u guys who work hard for us get together for an arvo of fun.. maybe a sack race if if its a draw ...
Is it possible to add a mic to the nk control area though being a public area i understand it may not be possible??
Can u tell me about the local sabi sands policies on Wildlife conservation and how far the land has come since rehabilitation???
Alot of people would like to know if teh wterhole is natural and if not how did it come to be???
Has africam considered recording the local singers and selling them as mp3's online and sharing proceeds with the singers??? .. the singers with the sounds of africa is one of the most beautiful sounds we hear drifting across nk some nights...
will add more as i think of them

Just wanted to comment re: EHK's mention of Facebook and it's possible uses. Paul's recent and frequent emails with links to FB postings have been most welcome and useful in pointing out recent highlights for those of us with limited time to sit and watch the cams. Keep up the good work!

Is it possible or in the plans to give the Chat modirators the ability to move the cameras at night when all the Africam zoomies are asleep? We sure miss a lot at night (those of us that sleep on a different schedule than SA) Thanks, Trük Meister __________________

Oh, and one more thing - it may be too late for this, but no harm in asking - any chance of shutting off the ads for the duration of the anniversary party?

Something I've thought about frequently, but never heard discussed - the cam tree at Nkorho is an old dead tree. Nothing lasts forever. (especially with cranky elies about) What is the prognosis for how long the tree will stand, and has any thought been given to where you'll put the camera when eventually, it does come down?

Any possibility of a second cam at NK for the afternoon when we watch against the sun? Any possibility of a "roaming" cam, with that I mean to have a cam on a birdsnest or a spider burrow or .... something else? __________________

I know that this is supposed to be about the NK cam, but the zoomie at EP has been doing such a great job and double good job at night. Would it be possible for someone to cut all the limbs away on the cam tree at EP that are reflecting IR light back into the cam?? And thank you all for what you do to bring all this to us!!! __________________

HOWZIT - what a great site - you have developed
congradulatins to all that have made it
the best AFRICAN - site
is it possible to instal the nk cam so that it
can rotate 360 % so that we can see behind the
cam tree towards KRUGER PARK ?
the majority of the animals listed below come
from behind the nk- cam tree
we have seen the following animals
civet - common duiker - honey badge -
farge spotted genet - scrub hare - tree squirrel
slender mongoose - white tail mongoose - serval
also a number of large animals come from the - kuger
direction
edit ---
the addition of the eagles perch
by the nkorho lodge has been huge sucess
i was going to ask if it could be replaced
as the elephants broke it up and shortent it
but realized that its up to the nkorho lodge
to do that - so just enjoy the site
as we have had 26 different bird species
captured on cam pics
thanks - barry
