Nkorho Cam Sightings Discussion - Monday 17th September 2007
Thanks Ingwe! I think that is my first confirmed badger. Seen some things before I thought might be but this one sure looked like it might be the real deal. LOL
The really do!
I also just looked at your critter video and I agree with Gerda that it's a honey badger. (thanks for posting it)
Hyenas sound unusually eerie tonight.
Thanks Gerda! I was looking at honey badger pics and some have various shades of white, grey and even tannish looking backs. So maybe this one isn't stark white like the one in the database.
reedbuck seems to be back for a drink ?
Thanks for the pics ! Aquila you are as good in posting pics as you in recording
Too bad we can't see the coloring (black/white) better Aquila, that would have made it easier to ID the badger.
Cool Gerda! I was hoping it was a badger. Might have seen it again last night. Something very similar came out of the right field to the water hole to drink then got spooked and ran for cover. LOL
Missed both the hyaena and the reedbuck...
Aquila, wanted to say that I have finally had a look at your "critter" video, after watching it a few times I do agree it must be a badger.
on the video you can see it's also walking with his tail upwards and I just read here in a book that they do often walk that way
I heard the jackal, but I missed the hyaenas that Aquila saw.
I missed them (had to get a freezie for my daughter, lol).
That explains why they left in a hurry.
Hey Sabine.. zoomie was on them for quite a while so someone must have got a good shot....now...did we just hear the hyaena or jackal...sometimes is hard to tell
