Ok we we got a problem here Houston.......lol. There seems to be a debate about just what kind of mongoose this is. Can any of you experts on here lay this to rest. We didn't have a clue what it was in the first place now we need to know what kind of mongoose it is. Sure paid off to keep our eyes on that hole for TWO very very long weeks lol. Boy the things we do for kids.

Thank you from the classrooms of Canada

Laughing out loud Hi Ms. Charlie, I searched the www, and found this about the Slender Mongoose. http://www.lioncrusher.com/animal.asp?animal=131

I sure hope one of the experts will give the right name to your secret hole critter. Laughing out loud

Hey I have something to share with you. Thought you might get a kick out of this. I was working on the web site all day yesterady in town, and had the pure luck to talk to Daniel Zatz the fellow that runs the Polar Bear Cams. Here he was talking to me right from the Tundra buggy while they were all filming those magnificant polar bears. I was suppose to talk to him days earlier but due to the storm here we had no phone service. So here I was working on our web site and ring...ring...lol. If I had a wish, a wish that I new would come true, here is what I would wish for....!
1. Send Katlyn's classroom to our famous water hole in Africa, not only to see all these amazing animals, but to meet the children at the Buffleshoeck Trust school..
2. Send the same classroom to Churchill Manitoba to see all these polar bears.
Ya think maybe just maybe if I sent off a letter to Santa for the kids that maybe just maybe lol lol.

I agree with Sparrow that this is a slender mongoose - the black tip to the tail gives it away!
