Thursday's chit-chat - November 23..............

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American neighbours to the south. And Happy Thursday to the rest of you. Looks like a gorgeous day at the waterhole. Camera operator is working his/her magic! Does anyone know if TJ is still working the early morning shift on the cam? Anyway, happy camming everyone! Laughing out loud

Ummm, okie...we know of another fan here Cool

It's all good though. Just as long as you are passionate about something, racing, football (either or), the water hole, which I'm truly and totally into, by the way.

How many minutes and seconds? LOL Since I was a young girl (many moons ago) I have enjoyed F1. Probably not as intensely as you with your Nascar. ENJOY!

Actually as of right now...86 days 17 hours and 29 minutes. F1 and Indy/CART are ok, but...selecting my words carefully here...too technical, way to expensive IMO, but still a good show. Stock cars, though, are much tougher (so to speak). Much more contact without as much damage. I'll not say that it's less costly, with testing and all the other stuff, but the cars themselves are less expensive per car.

I don't do baseball, (American) football, soccer, golf, tennis, etc. I've been a racing fan since the late '60's or early 70's and have been to tons of races. I'm so into in that I even drive 10 hours to go to my drivers fan club gathering, and for the record I'm a card carring member of a drivers fan club, Kevin Harvick if it matters.

I would think that with all the open wheel guys going to NASCAR it would have gotten more attention. Juan Pablo Montoya is holding his own after only 3 or 4 starts total. He kinda got toasted in the last race of the year at Homestead, Florida.

In the end, this is what's it's all about.

Watching your driver burn 'em down.

If this is too far out of context let me know please.

Thanks for the assist earlier, I kinda like having my laptop back up here and since it's 3 months to racing season there's no need to keep it in the den Laughing out loud

Thanks also for all the well wishes on one of our favorite holidays.

What racing season would that be?

NASCAR of course. 86 days and 20 hours until Daytona. Yeah, I've got it bad Laughing out loud Believe it or not but I found this place courtsey of the racing board I'm on. For a few weeks on the "community" side Africam has been discussed daily by many of us.

We sure do and yours is nascars, I don't even know what it is
Cerinthe it's car racing like the Le Mans but with stock cars that look like ordinary cars, and go round in circles at high speeeds!!! Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

Where to start, it's not open wheel racing like Indy of F1. The cars have a minimum weight of 3500 pounds (I'm thinking that about 1600 or 1700 kilo's). They look like cars you could buy from a show room, sort of...maybe in a drunken haze Puzzled

I can PM you with more links than you'll need.

Go fast, turn left! (most of the time)

Forgive me, I didn't consider the international nature of the forum, bad thinking on my part.
