Short Clips?

I know the terms of the website include not publishing content, but I was wondering if there might be a place where we could place a link to hosted video clips for those who might miss some things, similiar to the pics forum. For example, I was able to record this clip of impala sparring:

http://hometown.aol.com/arielyn211/Impala.wmv

The link opens in WMV. It was suggested that mayb I could host them on youtube.com, but I wasn't sure if that would violate the copyright agreement here.

Let me know what you think!

Saw it MistyLyn, beautiful, good work.

Certi, Just like you have a Forum for Nkorho Cam pics..with a topic for each day..i suggest that you have a video forum with a topic for each day.

There is only ONE cam to save them from so why spread them around on AfriCam's other Forums. ????? It's hard enough now to find things.

I now see no reason to open up a new Forum for this Elaine - it can be done as a new thread within the Nkorho Cam Pics Forum, as Mistylyn has done already.
The only further suggestion that I would make for this is that a new thread is created each week (say on Mondays) to save it becoming too many pages. That way, cammers can find each week's clips easily without having to search through a pages long thread.
If it becomes very popular this could, in future, be changed to a daily thread.

I don't think that ceri was suggesting that these be posted elsewhere - but like the rest of us I am sure that she is hoping that there may be more streaming cams on Africam one day Laughing out loud That would then be the time to (maybe) open up a new Forum, if the Moderators and Admin think that it would be the right thing to do.

I searched for 'Nkorho' on youtuba and it came up with 7 pages of videos already, fantastic stuff I saw there. Just about every beautiful moment is captured. Laughing out loud

OH, ceri, and thanks for the reminder... I forgot to suggest that anyone posting use some KEYWORDS..ie, Nkorho, African, Animals, etc.
I know that yvonne/SE has been uploading them and also, some of the Pond watchers loaded Nkorho videos also in addition to those recorded and loaded from the pond itself. What is great about youtube is that it doesn't matter if you record from WMP , Real Player..or any other viewer. They all come out great on youtube's format.

I agree, ceri, Great job , mistylyn, and thanks for the effort that you are putting into this.

The video links posted on other forums have become as popular almost as the daily still pics.
There is one msgboard where only 4 people have posted dozens of video links from youtube at the end of each day. Or during the day as they have time. Hugely popular...with other individuals joining in and adding to the list of links each day as they seem to learn how to save them.
and if it takes off here on the Nkorho cam?.(and i predict it will because of the response from viewers already...) .the way it has on other cams. you'll be all prepared for it.

Cerinthe, there is a thread under pics where I've posted links to each clip. I was able to get the elephants this morning...very exciting!! I was hoping to get a library of all the animals eventually.

It works very well I see. Great! Laughing out loud
I would have advised you to just post it under the daily pics, but as the day is already gone, why not make a topic for video clips and post it there. How long does it take to get it on youtube, can it be posted the same day as when you capture it?
Or maybe Tabs has a better idea?

Cerinthe, here's a link to the impala clip hosted on youtube. If it's OK to post them there, it would be easy to just post links to them! Then folks wouldn't need Windows Media Player!

There are already some cammers who post video clips from the cams - Ms Charlie does it often on the School Kids forum - but I agree with Cerinthe that it might be a good idea to create a new forum for this purpose.

In the meantime, you can post these on the relevant forums.... for example you can post video clip links of Nkorho pan on the Nkorho Pan Cam Pics board. That's a much better idea Tabs, post it in the relevant forums or post it on the sightings topic of that day.
