You are not alone here Kudu - but as long as we all try to do the 'little' that we can manage towards conservation, we can help, whether by refusing to buy furniture made from non-sustainable sources, such as the rain forests, or by buying smaller cars to reduce emissions and so on...

It is those who do nothing at all - and those businesses who exploit the environment for financial gain - who are the most guilty.

Governments only react under pressure from the public, whether that is you and I or the many organisations which continually harrass them about environmental issues.

My local Member of Parliament gets emails from me on a regular basis about environmental issues Laughing out loud

It's like having our own personal halogen beam! It's so bright you could see the shongololo right about now.

"bascia3125 You are so right Tabs, the greed of man has caused this problem, now it is to late in some cases for the problems to be righted...I am very sorry that this is happening Will it ever be righted??? Tabs do you know of any books or literture that I can read about this ????

There are many books and other publications but, to be honest, the best places to read about this subject are on the web:

http://www.panda.org.za/ - go to the Living Planet Report 2006 but you will need Adobe Reader to view this report

These are just a few of the many websites that have information on this subject.
