Night camera question

Hi there everyone.. Thanks for the spectacular job you do !

Question: at night is that a filter on the camera or is it some kind of light ?
It seems like some of the animals look right at the camera at night !

Again, Thanks for the cams !!! I love it.

The light is Infra-red once it becomes dark, in order that the animals natural behaviour is not disturbed - when animals appear to be looking at the camera it is either co-incidental or because their 'superior hearing' detects the slight noise of the cam being zoomed in, or panned, by the cam operator.

There are very few animals that can 'see' infrared light.
