Thursday 7 December cam pics
Guinea Fowl Sparrow, but I am not clever enough to say which species!
Thank you Sabine, for the pic of the two Gnu Babies!!! I saw them but was too late to take pics!
Hi Cerinthe and Fani, I think a Cape Vulture - I will wait for the confirmation, I am more often wrong than right
Edit - of course now I change my mind  I'm not sure
I dont know ...I didnt see him... I have read that cape isnt too common like white backed in kruger area...
Fani, Is it a white-backed vulture or cape vulture? I am wondering about the patches at the base of the neck, in one of the pics it can be seen very well.
After looking very well in my book I think you are right fani, it is a white-backed vulture and I say it because the 'face' is so dark. These images are with the sun from the back, but even with that the face of the cape v must look lighter in color?
Great birding day.... Thanks all for your nice pics..
Until now we saw
Cape turtle dove, Saddle billed stork, Bennett's Woodpecker (?), Common Greenshank (?) , Wahlberg's eagle, Pied crow, and White backed vulture (?)..If I was wrong ...please correct me
Great pics folks, thanks much. I got to see the raffies at dark thirty this morning but couldnt take and pics.
