Good Lord!

Am I the only one who is overwhelmed? The old Africam site was so user friendly. Siiiiiiiiiigh. I am frustrated with this new site. Puzzled

What was wrong with the OLD site.. It was so "User Friendly"?

This is not fun for me anymore it is frustrating.

Hello Eileen and welcome (back) to the 'new' boma - I remember you from the old site and I hope that you will find those on the new Boma as friendly as ever!

I think that you told me, a long time ago, where in the UK you live (somewhere 'up north' wasn't it?) but I have forgotten due to age, too much hard work and too much good wine!

I hope a dark text on a light background? I think that will make it easier for people to find the buttons etc. as they now fall away in the background.

Reverse ordering is already possible, have a look at the bottom of the page. Bit awkward, but then again, we are used to reading from top to bottom, and not the other way around....

I hear you. This message board is only a temporary one to tide us over while we put a new - and much simpler - layout together. Rest assured that I have been reading everyone's suggestions and incorporating them into the new design.

The new one will have:

* your current logins, passwords and avatars
* a much less busy layout
* some additional settings like reverse ordering of posts (latest first)
* the ability to comment on camera images and highlights

Sky, let me try and help you, what is it that frustrates you so much? Let me try and give you directions for just our normal day to day chats. Campfire is a replacement of the boma's day to day chit-chat, so there we do our usual chatterings. Just fall in with our daily chats and lets try and make this boma more user friendly for you too.
Every day someone makes a topic with that day's date, so just jump in there and join in. Eventually you will be able to follow all the threads.

Hmmmmm..........Looking in here and also totally lost with the new system. I haven't been on line for quite a while now, so don't know what has been happening, but thing sure have changed from the "old days" ! However, I guess "progress" is something we all have to accept and adapt to. Nice to see so many old and familiar names though. Bye4now.
