Pic 20, this is a shaggy ink cap ( lol, I love the english name) Coprinus comatus
But to be sure we will have to wait till it lifts it cap Laughing out loud such good english Laughing out loud
It can be eaten when it is still in the stage before the cap rolls back and release the ink.

Cerinthe, I couldn't find it anymore mondaymorning when cam operator took us on the Flora tour! Puzzled No trace of anything whitish on that spot, and the cam didn't zoom. Do you agree with Bascia and me those two pics are the same fungi?

Yes Ceri, I looked at both species (puffball and ink cap) and I tend to the ink cap now but couldn't find more pics of the several growing proceedings/phases. Puzzled: Does the ink cap start as a "ball"?

Sparrow, keep looking for anything at that spot when you are on the flora tour again, hopefully they will zoom. I am curious to see more pics of it.
If it is very warm the fungi must have a short life, we have fungi when it gets cooler and it must be quite warm in SA now.

Pic 22
Puzzled: Fungi or Foam nest of Chiromantis xerampelina - Gray Tree Frog Puzzled:

Observations:
Thursday 18 Jan. First sighting, looked like bird dropping, small flat white speck on the grass (no pic)

Friday 19 Jan. Seems to have spread a bit, but still flat, upper right part seems to wave a bit in the wind (no pic)

Saturday 20 Jan. Grown at the lower end (lump downwards), upper right part definitely waving in the wind, looks like paper tissue (pic 1 & 2)
@ Saturday...

Sunday 21 Jan. Sure grown at the upper side, more globe-shaped (reminds me of cauliflower), looks like fungi now, not moving in the wind anymore
@ Sunday...

...overview...
