Lightning Protection.

I hope that there is a lightning rod near, on the tree top, or above the camera some how. I would hate to see you lose the camera during an electrical storm.
A lightning rod mounted high atop the tree, with a good wire conductor to a grounding rod have saved many structures since Benjamin Franklin thought of this device.

I don't know whether or not they have a lightning conductor but we do lose the camera, from time to time, due to electrical storms either in the Sabi Sands (where Nkorho is located) or in Johannesburg (where the feed from the camera goes to) because these storms blow-out the internet feed and prevent the uploading to the sattelite, which sends the pics around the world.

I do not believe that having a lightning conductor on the cam would solve anything?
