I have Internet explorer 7 and the screen has been locking up all day.
I wonder what might be a better browser to view the streaming cam.
Did anyone dump Microsoft IE7 for something like firefox or another browser and get better performance?
Best Browser?
I just wanted to say a little note. No matter what browser you get you should not ever fully remove Internet Explorer from your computer as Microsoft's website will not let you do security updates to any Windows Operating System without using a version of Interet Explorer. I use both FireFox and Internet Explorer. L is correct that no matter what browser you have the cam will hiccup due to connection interruptions on the Camera's end not ours. There is no way to get around this. Just have to hit refresh, reopen the camera page, or stream it directly in Windows Media Player and then it'll buffer and reconnect sometimes during some of the hiccups without user input, however not all the time. I found the link by doing a search in the forums that makes it open in Windows Media Player, but I do not remember where.
Thx for the replies..I understand the
camera locks-up/hiccups occasionally.
There must a better way to to control what happens here on my PC?
For example:every time the cam locks up I have to hit refresh and then wait for the next signal from the cam to synchronize with my PC. If I walk away or am busy doing something else, it requires my input to regain video link.
There must be a way to set up my browser to automatically restore a good video link. I don't mind what is happening, I'm always trying to improve things.
The cam freezing up has nothing to do with IE7, it's the cam technology and the problem of transmitting from the bush, they have just one choice, Telkom, and have to take what they can get til another company surfaces in the future!
The cam is having a few hiccups today.. Probably due to the rain
