African Addict - new here

I have been in love with Africa since I was nine years old. I am now 44 and still as passionate about Africa as ever. I was given this link 4 days ago and have become addicted.

So far my kids and I have seen Wildies (with young), Zebras (with young), gazelles (with young), a mongoose, assorted birds (haven't identified any yet). Oh, and an incredible thunderstorm at night and a shooting star. Are those bugs or birds or bats flying around at night?

When does the camera pan? We've seen it a few times but other than that it's been stationary.

I live in Illinois so I can see dawn in Africa at night and evening in Africa during my morning. Is there a better viewing time?

How do you go about identifying all the sounds, calls, and noises?

Hello Rymada !

Welcome to Africam !

The camera at Nkorho is being operated by the staff at the lodge.
Usually early morning and late afternoon (CAT time) are a good time to spot animals coming for a drink. But any time is a good time to watch the cam, if no animals are around there are always some nice sounds to listen to Smiling At night you will often see spotted hyaena walking past the waterhole too. They are my favorits Smiling

For sounds from Nkorho cam :
Katja and myself have captured several sounds from the cam and listed them all in a website
http://www.everyoneweb.com/ngala/
enjoy !

Happy camming !
