May I ask - what is the whitish pile at the bottom of a dead trunk and tree that we viewed about three P.M. Is it simply sawdust or a termite mound? And when I have time to view I see little animal life. I am happy for the pics area where I can view what others have seen.
Thanks.

Welcome to the Boma

That 'pile' has been there for a long time and it does seem to be a termite mound - sometimes we get a close up of it.

One 'newbee' thought it was a lion once - no such luck tho we have now had several sightings, christmas time was the best as we had a pride there for several days.

Happy viewings

Ettel , Ive been viewing for a while now, and I find the best viewing time for us on the east coast of the US is around 9 or 10 at night. Thats when the sun is comming up at the watering whole. The animals seem to start waking up and needing a drink. Although today I saw several things in the few hours before the sun went down there....lol...so, its just kind of a hit or miss thing. But dont give up !! When you least expect it....
