I haven't been watching for about a week. How is the lame baby wildebeast? Has it been spotted lately?
I always missed the poor little guy on the cam (must have been sleeping). But I sure got attached to him quickly through all the inquiries & pictures. Sometimes it's hard to deal with that "eat or be eaten" way of life. I would be the world's most emotional vet.
Thanks Sabine I had n't read that Karin's message...I was wondering myself...but I supposed what happened
I know ! ..it is sad,. But a least now he is running about somewhere free from pain...I hope!
I knew that it most likely wouldn't make it but am still saddened by the loss of beatiful creature.
Thanks! Sabine..i couldn't remember just when it was
Here is a post from Karin from Jan1/07
"Hallo from a cold and wet Nkorho. Hope you all had a wonderful new year so far. Just want to tell you that it seems to me that we lost our injured calf today. I am not sure what happened to it but it was not with the others this afternoon. It is better like this I think. Couldn't stand seeing it like that for much longer. We had quite a good day...Did anyone spot the green grasshopper on that big green leave at the rocks? It was not very easy to spot but it was beautiful, just like our tree climbing shongololo. We all at Nkorho just once again want to thank you for watching and all the warm wishes we got. We also do appreciate it and we love sharing all of this we have with the rest of the world. It would be so nice if we could one day put a face to a name, so you better start saving. Happy viewing"
The baby wildebeest didn't make it.
