I know you are kidding of course, but it is a very big no-no to feed the bears..It endangers them and people..

And the polar bears have a very keen sense of smell as you know. They can smell seal under the ice. SO, lunch of tourist was not so hard to find Eye-wink Eye-wink

Actually, the only time they seemed really interested in the buggy and us is when we were having lunch...lol.. That always brought them closer..The smell of our lunch, and then all the cameras were going click,click,click.... Laughing out loud

This isn't fair....I think they had to prepare meal for bears too...seal ala buggy for example Laughing out loud OK I'm kidding...but still believe that it isn't fair ...to attract them with the smell...

I 'm wondering ...if they will do it in the future...I mean to feed them...With the polar bears in danger becouse of the climate change...and the problems they have to hunt becouse of the melting of ice ....we can wait everything in the future
The only I don't know is the reason (if )they will do that...to save the bears or the tourist industry Eye-wink

Lynn you may share some more Laughing out loud What's it like on those buggies, is it not too cold?

The buggies are very nice and comfortable. There is a propane fireplace in the back and it stays warm untill everyone sees a bear and puts their window down to take photos. Laughing out loud Or unless you go on to the back of the buggy to snap pics. They serve very nice meals of soup and sandwiches, drinks ,hot choc, and coffee. It was really great trip. I even got to drive the buggy for a short while. That was fun !
