Camera wasn't working for me last night (yesterday, 2PM). Went to one point, froze and blacked out. Were there any sightings? Don't you imagine the constant presence of lions in the area is keeping the animals in hiding at night? Just a theory!

Hi, I'm a newbie. Just wanted to say hello and also, wow, that rain is really coming down! I really enjoyed the lightning earlier, I love thunderstorms. Anyway, thanks for all the great links, and keep watching and let me know what happens, cuz I have to get off the computer now.

A giraffe made a brief appearance on the 15th. Last elephant that I know of was a week ago. Here's a brief clip of the giraffes visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk93_8YBHIE

Maggie, I was here too. There was just so much noise from all the animals before the cheetah strolled through. Maybe they were just warning alarms.

Yeah, if anyone was close to their computer at that time you couldn't help but look because of all the noise. Smiling He was beautiful!

Thanks. Are toad croaks as frequent as the cricket croaks? If not, then it could be a very loud and huge cricket hanging out by the camera microphone.

I just compared the sound to the olive toad from the "sounds of Nkorho"
http://www.everyoneweb.com/ngala/ and I don't think it is the olive toad. What we are hearing live definitely sounds frog like, perhaps it is a tree frog.

Did anyone hear of the cheetah made a kill today?

I don't think so. I was here when he/she just strolled through very peacefully and beautiful.

Maggie, I was here too. There was just so much noise from all the animals before the cheetah strolled through. Maybe they were just warning alarms.

oh?? the cheetah we saw earlier killed something???what???

No one has said the Cheetah has killed anything yet, but it may have. Right after it passed, I heard a Rover and people back in the brush. I think they were just been trying to get a look at it, because it didn't stay very long.
