africam is not working

I am new at viewing this most phenomenal site!! The webcam seems stuck this day the 19th of January and is not working. Over the past few days, I have seen many birds , a lioness, wildebeasts and, I believe, Thompson gazelle. I alerted my wife to the Africam at her shcool and now the entire administration and staff keep it on all day long during active school hours! The webcam is nothing short of magical. We love it.
Hope you have it up and running again soon!

Welcome to Africam Brudda

I cant say what you saw on the camera so far, but you definitely did not see a Thompsons Gazelle, what you probably saw was an Impala.

Thompson's Gazelle are found in East Africa and both the male and female have horns. Impala are found both in Southern Africa (where the Nkorho Cam is located) and in East Africa and are the most common antelope species in the area of the webcam. In Impala, only the male has horns.

Enjoy your viewing and please excuse people like me who jump in from time to time to correct perceptions and try to share our knowlege of our beautiful continent, Africa, with fellow Africammers from around the world.
