Distinguising Steenbok from Impala from Reedbok from others?

I'm looking at the photo's in the database (thank you!) but I'm having some difficulty picking out features that would distinguish one grazer from another unless they're side-by-side (and even then, I can't pick features for comparison).

Anyone? Are there facial markings that are decidedly different? Tails? Backs? Eyes? Other?

Example, when I saw the Kudu this morning, I thought it was one of the Impala until I looked it up in the database and saw the striped markings on his back.

Thank you!

WidlifeCampus offers two solutions for those seeking to accurately identify the ± 33 species of antelope indigenous to Southern Africa.

There a fairly compehensive antelope Component in the Mammals Module of the Game Ranging Course and for an indepth look at antelope, the Behaviour Guide to African Herbivores is the place to go. In this course we dedicte 38 Components to antelope and look at each species individually.

You can access the full Component on Impala from the Learning page linked off the AfriCam homepage.
