Sound is fine for me here Lady. Just don't ask about the visual. Smiling

I miss my tree also, but look on the bright side, we get to see all the shy little critters that hug the edge of the brush line Smiling . And if you think about it, at night most of the visitors come from this direction anyway.
Especially the Elephants LOL.

This view should show us some great closeups to Id some of the blurry white blotches that move across the screen at night.
We'll never know till they try it...
Who knows maybe tomorrow night she'll show us the other half?

Here's to great sightings tonight..

OOOH kay, my guess is that was one of those white fuzzy things mentioned above? Wish my sound was better! I keep hearing soft little furtive noises under the chuffing and crickets.

What's that you say? You saw King Kong? :shock: Good thing I wasn't watching.

I'm pleased to see an alternate view tonight instead of all those scarey trees.

My sound is improved so I think those spider webs Karin and colleagues cleaned off on the 22nd may have been covering the microphone too.

[quote="owlsatdawn"]Luv your owl Elaine!

Thanks, it was adorable. We were driving from Orpen to Satara in Kruger and there it was sitting right in the middle of the road . My friend from SA IDed it as a juvenile Giant Eagle Owl (the same owl we've seen fishing at night on Nkorho cam). Now the new name is , i think, Verreaux Eagle Owl. We saw them many times in the past on AfriCam's Wheelbarrow cam. Laughing out loud The picture that i cropped my avatar from showed it sitting in the middle of the road and the bush on either side..it looked so tiny and lonely on it. lol
It was lucky there was no other traffic in either direction, but we waited until it flew up onto a tree before we left.
Maybe i should have replied to this in the General Forum's Campfire Topic, Daily chitchat ..since it's not about Nkorho. I guess a mod will move it or tell me.if they don't want it here.

Can anyone identify what just sauntered past the back side of the pond. It was long and low to the ground, appeared to have a long tail. I have a picture, I will post if needed.

I thought it was too small to be a lioness, too, but wolfandhawk said lioness on the sightings page. Me and my North American mentality immediately thought coyote.....could it have been a jackal?
