Was wondering if anyone else has this problem (which I have since all the "mix" up with the wavelit site. I can no longer control the volume on the stream. If I want to raise it or lower it I must use my Windows volume. Any ideas? __________________

BTW....I don't know if the mods can do anything about this, but there are some member from here that have joined that other forum -- thinking it was the same forum, just changed. They have been looking for familiar faces. Can the managers/moderators send out a little group e-mail message to members to let them know this site is still active????

I was watching it via WMP when being redirected to the blue WaveLit site last evening. I just miss the ease of seeing what time it is in Africa, which I didn't have on WMP. I guess we all have different preferences, so maybe it's a good thing we've got more than one way to view it! With the http://wavelit.com/?ch=Wildlife&sh=africam, once you click on the volume control, you get rid of the side things...and can slide the page over to view only the cam, temp & date. Is that what you do also?
The link I use doesn't have anything else on the left side of the page, so I just leave it as is.

Ti42 It's just good we have a few ways to view as long as the cam is up & running. A view for all tastes & likes. __________________

I like the animal-print-background site better mainly because the cam is over near the left edge of the screen and I can have other windows open and be working on the right side of the screen and still see the cam easily. It also has the current Africa time, just not the weather, like the main WaveLit site. I does get confusing with at least three ways to watch, that I know of! And with WaveLit having their own forum, plus this one (the Boma) it can be even more confusing!
But now things seem to be back to how I'm used to them being! I prefer the alternative link: http://live.wildlife.wavelit.net/451ok It runs on Windows Media Player. I can minimize it to my tool bar and then open up a "Mini" version of the camera stream. Then I can just maximize when I see some animals show up...

I'm with you on the morning tea! I was directed to Africam through a St. Louis Cardinals message board where someone posted a link to the cam. The link they posted is http://www.wavelit.com/popup/playerAfricam.asp which is hosted by WaveLit but it's not the blue background main WaveLit site that we were getting redirected to (which seems to be where you watch it). Is that what you do also? Working on 3rd tea... __________________

I just tested it and it seems to work for me. I checked on both camera links.
