I have enjoyed watching Nkorho for about a year now, and have a question about the swallow-like birds that show up at dusk, and swoop down along the surface of the Pan. What are they, and what are they diving after? Just joined the forum, and am looking forward to future chats!
Need to ID birds
Without a pic of the birds in question, it is difficult to ID them for you Dave.
Swallows, Swifts and Martins all swoop low over water for different reasons - sometimes to bathe (they take up water in their feathers and then preen themselves) and sometimes to catch insects.
