I am new here

Hi all!!!!

First off.. thank you for allowing me to join.
Secondly... I am not sure I understand all of this.. is there 2 cams here? I am seeing Nkorho Pan right now.. but earlier is was called the watering hole.. but this IS a watering hole... Sorry... this is only the second time I have ever been on here.
Third... When are the best times to be on the site to see animals.. I have yet to see anything but a few brids.

Hi RosieB - welcome to Africam,

The waterhole is also known as a pan - this one was formed naturally and is filled with rainwater, but when the level goes down it is filled by way of a natural spring know as a bore hole.

Over the past few days the best viewing times seem to be from 10am - 12noon, (SA time) but this can change at any time and you never know when animals will arrive. Sometimes night time can be the most exciting time at the waterhole and others absolutely nothing happens. It's just a case of being in the right place at the right time

At the moment it is high summer in SA - the rainy season. The animals are able to find an abundance of water in the bush and have less need to come to the waterhole. when winter comes around late may then I think the activity will increase as the puddles and streams begin to dry up.
