Wonderful variety of bird pictures, Bella Felina!
Would love to get close to a Flicker - they are so elusive.
The Western Bluebird has rich colors, and the Junco is really cute.

Dark-eyed Junco - Oregon Junco

In winter 2004/2005 we had whats called an irruption of Great Gray Owls in southern Ontario..they went further south then normal in areas of the US too. We had upwards of 400 in southern Ontario. This happens about once every 10 years, when there is an extreme fall off in the lemming and vole(little rodents they eat) populations in the high north and Arctic. I had the amazing opportunity to see 22 Great Gray Owls, some right in the city parks. We visited one "hotspot" and around one field saw 17 of them. What a treat!

It is Canada's largest Owl at 27inches tall(69cm). They are known to plunge 18inches(45cm) into the snow after rodents they can hear from above.
Thanks limpopo ! I really like that site.
I thought it was a quiz.
By the way - here is a neat website for bird quizzes.
