Good Morning All or should I say evening?

Trying to figure out what all I have missed by getting my sleep last night.

Karin I did read your post and I am so glad you are back. However I am sorry that you have to read hurtful comments. If you ever read anything bad from me, believe me I will be talking about the stupid dial up that I am on and not complaining about the camera at all. Yes at times it will be down but the times when it is working more than makes up for that. I am truly appreciate of the world that you have opened up for me. I live in a small town in W. Tn and I just imagine that this is the closest I will ever get to experience African wildlife. I have already learned so much about the sights, sounds and habits of the wildlife there. This is the first place I come in the am and the last place I am at night.

Thanks so much for all the hard work yall put into the camera.

Human nature never changes, people will complain when they feel they can improve things by voicing their opinions. Constructive criticism helps get things done. Of course, there are those that would stoop to personal attacks, and try to start a flame war...I haven't seen that here. In fact this is a very calm, well-moderated forum, there is little toleration for trolls, and those that like to start trouble.
I highly doubt the Nkorho crew is about to start crying and quit working the camera.
I would bet they will continue to improve the camera, and I bet every time it malfunctions we will complain. Human nature.

Good afternoon/morning Africa! Well, as usual, I seem to tune in at the right times! Just in time for a nice afternoon stroll. Thanks Karin, my eyes are glued to the screen making this difficult to type. Just looked at the termite mound. I will have to go out soon, so I am blessed to have this bit of daylight. Hoping when I get back home, to catch some night cam visits of the animals, still hoping for my first hippo sighting The turtles enjoying the last of the sun before going to bed. So sweet. Well, I must get going, have a good rest of the day and early evening of camming.

I would like to add my Thank You to Karin and Staff for all that you do to enrich our lives from the other side of the globe. All the posts written here with gratitude and appreciation mirror my thought exactly. I consider the ability to share the experience live at Nkorho a gift that keeps on giving. I would also like to thank all the members here for their great friendship, comradery and knowledge.

Karin, it pains me to know that you had to read hurtful posts. This cam/BOMA experience is an amazing gift and we are truly grateful. I think we check with one another when there's a glitch in the cam just to make sure it isn't something on our own end and don't mean to be complaining.

This is indeed the place I come to be transported to a different place and time, to learn, to feel nature envelope me and as others have said, I am very, very grateful to you and everyone operating and hosting the cam.

If that makes me a BOMA Wife, well, that's a title I'll wear proudly

Not only do you provide a "mental health break" for many of us with hours of wildlife viewing, but I know of several teachers who use this site in thier classrooms. I teach in a low income very rural school and many many of the children will never get to see anything close to this in real life some may never even get to a zoo. You are providing a valuable service with the camera!!! Thank you!

We have missed you here at the watering hole. The cam is just not the same without you AND your updates. We appreciate you and all the hard work you do.

Sorry you had to read all the complaints. Some people just like to complain... there's always a few in the crowd.

For my first post, I wish to give a big thanks to whomever is responsible for allowing us to look inside their world(Karin, I think) The thought of a vacation in Africa never even occurred to me, now the lodge in the cam is on top of the list. Hope to meet the operators of this cam one day. Thanks again.
