Um...no I know that one that you see in the middle has some really good fruit that makes the animals tipsy! I only know that from reading on here though!

The Marula tree fruit makes them tipsy? How hilarious! I can picture a bunch of drunk Vervets or Babs now! That'd be a sight to see!

There is a drink made of the fruit of the marula and it's called Amarula, well known in africam meeting circles Laughing out loud
It's very nice I can tell you that
The fruit is very tasty

Hummm I sure would like to partake in Armarula in the africam meeting circles. Maybe that's what they were drinking at the lodge tonight, they sounded mighty happy. Laughing out loud

Unfortunately there has always been a lot of controversy about the fermenting marulas ability to make an elephant drunk like that. Most experts say it was not possible that the animals could get drunk like that and it all was staged.
The name of the movie is Animals Are Beautiful People

I too had read that it would take LOTS AND LOTS of fruit to achieve that effect.

I checked the forum, no luck. Even if there was I don't think we'd be able to find Armarula to drink. LOL

Is Amurala available in the states? And if so, where would I look for it in a liquor store? Is it a wine or liquor?
