MB, remember to use the setting Window/menu and then click snap window/menu, put your cursor over the window you want a picture of (it turns into a hand) then click.

That's exactly what I did. It shows a frame around the area I'm taking a pic of, but then the pic turns out to be only part of what was in the frame. the rest of the area is black.

on the pan cam pics there is a sticky about how to take pics with mwsnap. there is a setting you have to change on windows media player so that you wont keep getting black pictures. check the sticky it helps alot.

I've tried a couple of different ways now...just tried what you said...each time it's only showing a corner of what I'm trying to take on the MWSnap screen. Sad

I just tried to take a pic of full pond area, and it only shows a corner of it...the rest of the pic is black.

under left hand listing..
click on 'any rectangle area'
then click on 'snap any area' at bottom of list
it will change your cursor to an '+', place that at top left corner of cam view and click, then drag diagonally down to right hand bottom corner of pic. and click
then immediately go to click on REPEAT LAST..and from then on simply click on ''repeat last capture" for all the rest of your pics that you want to save.
Be sure under Tools/auto saving/ settings that you have it set to use numeric suffix or each pic will overwrite the previous one.

i didn't take time to read other suggestions..i hope this isn't a repeat of what someone else told youl.

good luck

Try this to solve the problem of the black pictures :

1. Open your Window Media Player and click Options on the Tools menu.
2. On the Performance tab, click on the Advanced... button.
3. Uncheck Use overlays (2 x)

hope this helps
