This was the most enjoyable birding event. I can't recall ever going birding with a nicer more helpful and instructive group of birder's. A big thank you to everyone for making this possible!

I would like to echo smalldog's comments, really worth the 3am start for me. Highlight - without a doubt the unexpected pair of stunning saddle-billed storks.
Thanks

I realize this may be asking huge favor, but by chance does anyone have the list of birds seen in order of appearance?
Thank you to all of you experienced african birders for making this such a memorable experience.

Great list guys, sorry I couldn't join you on the day.

One question though - are you certain that you heard a House Sparrow? The call is very similar to that of the Southern Grey-headed Sparrow which is far more common in the area.

Landi.

I'm not sure about the House Sparrow call Landi.
I myself don't know how they sound, so I can't say for sure if it was house sparrow or grey-headed sparrow that was id'd by one of the bomites.
