Last time there was a carcass in the vicinity of the WH there were quite a few vultures to be seen during the day......I think the mystery object is a log. Smiling

We saw that item this morning but it was difficult to identify because of the heavy rain. Karin (or whoever was working the cam) really focused on it for quite some time. I didn't get a picture, I'm so sorry. Maybe Karin will fill us in tomorrow when she sees the picture?

It sure looked like a carcass this morning: a hoof, a leg and thigh, and then there was another piece not seen in this photo that looked like an empty belly. In daylight, it looked like part of a Wildebeast.
This is what I captured this morning as E&T flew off. It looks like the driftwood all pulled apart to me.

Thanks for the photos of the hyenas. I looked up hyenas on the net and found a site that gave some great info on them.

I think the hyenas are my favorite. I love their call!

I think if it was an animal carcass, we'd hear more noises off to the side of the cam. So i'm saying it was wood.
