Time to go to wednesday...after midnight at the pan

I was thinking about the time... Don't worry...
Keeping in the nature "frame of mind"

Back in the '80's when the blackbird infestation was happening in your neighborhood... I remember it being around 10pm on a Friday/Saturday night... We were on your porch and I commented on the noise the birds were making, (they numbered in the hundreds of thousands..) while they roosted in the wooded area across the street from your house.

Chuck says "watch this" and lights a bottle rocket (with report). He didn't aim it at the birds, mind you, he aimed it straight up...

It was amazing... when the bottle rocket launced, the birds went silent, like someone flipped a switch. When the rocket exploded, they ALL immediately took to flight. I remember I laughed so hard I had to sit down. Too bad we didn't video tape that, it was way cool.

Back from the kitchen. Decided the bird was not going to go into the boiling pot ! That was one pretty chicken LOL. Almost 7lbs. So in the roasting pan he went LOL. Then of course had to get all the sides together. Bud does not know he has to share yet ..and the Son and friends think I made it special for them Talk about killing 2 birds with one pan LOL

Tom and I have known each other since high school so many years ago. He was best man at my wedding almost 25 years ago. These days it is rare to have a friend for so long. Shoot, I knew Tom before I knew my wife, and I met her in the same class with Tom in high school.

It is a rare thing to have friends for so long these days.

Welcome to the Boma Tom. I can only hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Every one here is top shelf. Given enough time you'll come to think of this as a second home.
