The winds seem to have abated somewhat....just occasional gusts.
Maybe now the critters won't feel so skittish to come out....

I hear that noise every once in awhile and always wonder what it is. It sounds like a ball being hit by a baseball bat.

Yep I just watched the video again, this time full screen, and the mane is pretty evident. Laughing out loud Also if you look at the reflection in the WH too, it's pretty clear.

Woohoo :!: now I can add lion to my list of animals seen.

I don't think any other cat has quite a nice head of hair.. Smiling
I could be wrong, but I was convinced it was a lion.. it was a very nice view

It was a great video -- thanks Aquila, and a lion for sure.
So, I posted that and the pair of mongoose (s?) in sightings, hope I got the time right

The mongoose sighting was great because they were on both sides of the WH and you could really get a nice sense of scale from seeing them in on both sides

Every time I vow to stop watching the night cam, something great comes along.. (it was the hippo before this lion sighting)
