Terrific photos of the Great Blue Heron and Reddish Egret. In southern Ontario we get Great Egrets. They nest across the area now,which is a northward movement of their range. Theyve only started to nest up here within the last about 5 years.

VEry nice Dreamer! I'm sure it wasn't your photo's that crashed the thread; it just happens like that sometimes. The Egret we see in the park here are the ones with the yellow legs, Cattle? Snowy? The Great White has shown up once that I have seen in twenty or more years. What is the redishEgret? Is it a Heron? __________________

Your Great Blue Heron looks very much like the Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) we find in Africa, but I note that it's distrubution does not extend to North America, but is found throughout Africa, Europe and Asia.
