Anyone hear that noise that sounded like an ape pounding on it's chest?
I wonder what it is?

I heard it and thought maybe a bird flapping his wings. My parrots often hang on the sides of their cages doing just that, that sounds similiar.

Good evening everyone. Is that more thunder I'm hearing or just wind ?

Hi RogerH - I've been watching for flashes too and haven't seen any and I also noticed that the crickets are as noisy as ever. I have only been around a short while and I am trying to learn to identify all the night sounds I hear. I am in the Catskills, Greene County.

I hear the thunder also did anyone see that little critter that just walked by in the front of the WH?

I can't see much of anything at night unless it's really obvious. I keep thinking I'm seeing things moving back by the trees but it turns out to be nothing. I guess I just need alot more practice at this night viewing. I still hear the noise though - don't know thunder or wind ?

Back again, all I have to do is shut down and reboot, and I can get right back on. What does that mean? Africam's servor is barely speaking to my server?

Hi Granny,

I dunno - think it's just one of those darned mystical computer things. Like, whenever my VCR or cable box doesn't work, I just unplug it, plug it back in again, and everything's fine. I don't think we are supposed to understand these things, just accept them!!!

every time you do something like this it shifts you to an alternate reality / universe where your systems electrons are still flowing. Your good to go until it's time for the next jump and you have to do it again.

After the first round of not being able to get in, I looked around and found an email address to use for troubles. I wrote to it and I discovered a reply a few minutes ago, from Campbell. He said to try using a dif. server, and he suggested IE or Foxfire. If that didn't work, write back. He also said he had reactivated my ID.

Well, I'm using IE. And one time I was able to just log on, then it went back to having to shut down and reboot. So I don't think the problem is IE, aren't a lot of you using IE??

Just looked at the Nkorho weather (for Hoedspruit airport) and we are in the dark of the moon. Looks like the heavy rain is over although Sunday night (there) has a chance of rain.

Hi Granny (from one granny to another), I have both IE and firefox and have found that firefox gives me far less trouble here than IE.

I use IE or Yahoo IE and sometimes AOL I don't seem to have any problems aside form the ones we all get.I wonder if the small critter you saw was the same one I saw a while ago. I think that was a bird that just dive bombed the water.

I wonder if the operating systems or version of IE have anything to do with the problems?

I haven't had any difficulty at all witn IE, on either Windows XP or Windows Vista.

I really don't want to change servers. I know I'll get everything all messed up and I'm happy the way it is, except that Africam is having problems with it. If others are using IE just fine, then the problem is elsewhere, probably in the new server there. Make sense? I could try a new identity, like Helen has. If she continues to have no trouble, then I may do that.

I wish I knew Granny but I'm technologically challenged. I only know so far I haven't had any problems at all. I didn't even have to log in after the server changed. I was still logged in.

Chuck C had problems with his account too.

Are you on Comcast by any chance?

I think you are probably right Grannycat, that the problem may be on the new server. I have boma running on firefox and the stream running on WMP and I have had no problems. Do you have it set to automatically log you in with each visit and if so have you tried doing everything from scratch ? Go to the site and click the link and type in username and password. I think I saw someone suggest that in another thread earlier.

I'm just about illiterate, techno speaking. I've tried auto log me in and not, made no dif. I've tried trying to post, then logging in when it says I cannot post. Also tried clicking on log in at the top of the page, and the only thing that works so far is to shut down and restart my computer. I expect there are others with problems, maybe some are figuring it out, others are waiting to see if it gets better, maybe some are giving up. I'm just going to cope for a while and see if it's a bug that will be solved in the next few days. I'm sure it wouldn't make any dif. if Karin was here, but I wish she was!!

Babs settled down. We never know in most cases what stirs them up. Could be a snake in their tree or something?

Hi Susan. Sorry you're having problems too.

Helen, I don't have another email addy. Don't want two places to clean out every day, so I guess that isn't going to work.
