dog barking?

It sounds like there is a dog barking nearby. Would he be keeping wildlife away or maybe draw them in?

The only reason why I can see a dog there would be as an assistance dog for a disabled person. But then again, assistance shouldn't bark like that.

I'd be highly upset as a guest there. Amazed it hasn't been addressed by the staff. The last thing i'd want to listen to is a dog barking all night while on an african vacation that I paid a lot of money for.

But then again, maybe this dog isn't at the lodge. But there isn't anything nearby the lodge is there.

Agreed. I can't believe that the lodge owners would encourage a dog to bark throughout the night and disturb the paying guests - they would end up with no guests after a while. This seems relatively new (2 weeks? 1 week?) - I wonder if some guest brought their dog along. I can imagine there have been numerous complaints from the guests.

Hi April and welcome to Africam Laughing out loud

There has been some discussion of the barking dog over at the watering hole thread.

I have missed most of the conversation but it seems as though he (or she) belongs to the lodge. Laughing out loud I wonder if the guests are getting much sleep, but the alternative could be anything from a hyena to zebra alarm.
