..and a black-backed jackal. Zoomie, you have a great eye!
Kudu! Thanks, zoomie****
morning/afternoon, everyone.......pretty afternoon in SA....an overcast but sort of warm morning here in southern DE, USA. Now....watch the cam or clean out the gardens....watch..clean...watch...clean.....hmmmmmm!
Darn cricket's drowning out my nighjar serenade!
I started a New Day.
LOL Now I will forever be waiting for those famous words ...."Hello? Is this thing on?"....every time I hear that noise!
mom - there really are birds are in the cam tree and walk about or flap or whatever...you can often see the nightjars flying toward the camera. They are so close to the mic, it sounds deafening.....
lady's mom - the thumping is the movement of the very rare cement-footed African flapperstomper; who only lives in the cam tree at the Nkoro watering hole!
What is that occasional thumping that we hear? Is it coming from the lodge?
It IS a beautiful picture. The marula tree is reflected in the WH by moonlight. So romantic..............until the jackals turn it into the gates of heck!
