NOW ITS OFF FOR A STRUT TO ATTRACT A HEN
Nice shots Cerinthe,Smalldog and Krukab! I had a Hudsonian Godwit pass by when I was raptor counting last fall Cerinthe. Luckily a friend who is an expert on shorebirds was there, and was able to ID it. She was sort of talking aloud as it approached, asking what it was.I of course was trying to make it a raptor..finally I said its a shorebird...all yours for ID Jean! It is a rarity to see in Toronto,so am glad someone so skilled was there to ID it.

*APRIL 1RST - i was down at beach -all the ducks, gulls
and the lone blue heron all scattered - i looked to the sky
and 7 mature and 1 immature bald eagles came to beach
300 yards in front of me where tide line was - they dived
at each other -voices calling - 20 seconds and it was over
5 flew away - 3 landed 100yds from each other and called
to each other for half an hour then 1 flew off north and 2
flew off south - nature sure can be exciting in a short
20 seconds -
Found three new birds on Saturday
Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii)

Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura)

Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus)

Eastern Phoebe..a flycatcher. I was watching the Redtailed Hawks nest when I saw this.
Shame it looked away.

It moved around a few times before co-operatively perching nearby.

the vegetation --artistic
Thanks Barry - Been trying to get the right size for Boma. Lloyd and I have kind of agreed that this mallard is a mechanical decoy. No movement in several minutes except for the head and some duck sounds. No legs are visible and there are what looks like two buttons above the tail
the size they want is 450 x 320 max - its in the guidlines-
my pics are all around that size give or take a bit lol
now ya wrecked my day lol i belive you are right onblowing it up
it a fake (duck ) but a great photo
