G'day from Melbourne Australia

G'day all,

Just popped into the Boma after a couple of years away and what a difference !!

Back then the vision was static and no sound , thats why i stopped visiting.

Crystal clear sound now, zooming cam, and such high quality too ....The addition of an operator on the Nkorho Cam is fantastic..

Glad I popped back !! Smiling

Yes, John, I remember the good ol' days. I'm in about the same age group as you (will be the "big" 60 next month----if my 60's are as great as my 50's have been I'm looking forward to it!!!)

I'm so glad I'm "young" enough to somewhat comprehend all of today's technology and enjoy it-----but I wish things would slow down a bit and give me a chance to catchup (readup) on all of it-----too much to learn & do----cause I want to experience it all----that's what life is all about----and staying young.

And yes, Mildura is a pretty place (was able to see it via webcam from their website)---haven't been there personally---but maybe someday!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, Cheryl.

Mildura is on the northern border of my home state Victoria. Nice place, it's on the Murray river. The birdlife around there is great , I remember we took a riverboat holiday there a few years back..

Yes, Skype and Webcams, fantastic combination, must dent the profits of Telcos.

Remember when we were kids ( I'm 52 !! ) and the frantic passing around of the telephone handset whenever a long distance phone call was made with family ... We always had to talk fast because the cost was so high !!

Now its full audio & video for the price of a broadband connection.

G'day Mate!

Welcome back to the new & improved africam---aren't you glad you decided to give it a try again?!!

I have an old high school friend who moved to Australia about 30 some years ago--she lives in Mildura---and we have been able to re-connect with one another the past two years using our webcams & Skype---technology today is amazing!

Enjoy the sights & sounds of the animals of Africa :!:

Welcome back. I wasn't around during the "old africam" days but I am glad I was introduced to the new africam. I must say it is an enjoyable addiction.
