Yeah, he came and went within 2 minutes, if even that. It was still awesome though.

It's been like this every evening since the storm. People have been guessing that maybe water got in it or it's bugs...I'm not sure but the microphone has been good during the day????

are you kidding i missed a hippo last night..bummer for sure...!!

Good news....I was going through my screen capture folder to make some room and found I had another picture of that mystery bird. The lighting is different (but blurry), so maybe it will help. I posted it in the cam pics forum....

If the beak is actually dark and not just in shadow....could be the Wood Sandpiper...

I hope the hippo comes back tonight and stays a little bit longer than last night.

It depends i do not think it matters because i have seen on documentaries that they come out both times night is good for hunting but if there are meals around they will come out during the day the brown hyeana is more nocturnal!
