I haven't seen but maybe 3 Rangers, but they were all cute, so cloning is a possibility!

Confusion alert.......
Awhile back I asked a mod who "Landi" was....and was told he was a guide at the lodge. But I occasionally see the term Landi used in plural. Is it a person or type of person here.....LOL Think it's LANDROVER - the vehicle taking the guests on a night-time tour... __________________

I would guess it was lions, either laying around or on a kill. Didn't here anything that sounded like a kill earlier tho. Did hear the zebra calling several times.

Thanks Jabberwocky for your comments on my pictures, Its never too late to travel !
I saw that Sandy posted that the vets never interfere unless the injuries result from human intervention. I am sure that she is right regarding their reserve rules. I did recently see where in the Mara a cheetah had died and people were helping to feed the cubs. There were lots of questions with no answers as to the cause of death of the cheetah. It was not clear what caused the cheetah's death. So the question arose as to why people were feeing the cubs and the last I saw there were no answers. I have been told many times there is no intervention, even with cats. However since cats are one of the main reasons that people visit Africa, I have always wondered if the policy is 100% adhered to. Thats just my skepticism and not based on any direct knowledge. Mike To look at it from another angle, I have heard that, at least in the recent past, lions, for example, might commit an ...indiscretion...resulting in the loss of human life, and might not be, well, ...held accountable...for the same reasons... __________________

The articles I read specifically mentioned they were bringing food to the cubs. The cubs were older and I guess they were hoping they would become an age to hunt on their own without bringing them in. This is just a guess on my part. Mike __________________

Mike, Makes me wonder also. You would think that if a cheetah had died and did have cubs that they would take them to an animal rescue for big cats. When you look at the ratio of big cats to grazing animals (not that I want the odds lowered in favor of the grazers or vice versa) they would want to conserve and protect the cats, if not disease would run rampant among the other animals with no predators killing off the old, sick and injured. __________________
