Waterhole is a natural pan ... (split from WH)

I've asked this question before on another thread but no one answered. I wonder if the waterholes are man-made or natural? Anyone know?

That sounds familiar. I'll have to dig around and see what I can find.

I guess it could be spring fed. A weak vein of groundwater will go dry in a drought. I thought the shape of it looked natural.

Someone told me that this waterhole is the smallest of the 3. Have they ever had cams at either of the other 2?

Oh, okay. And so this pan wasn't produced by drilling a well, then?

The Ellie will let them know when the water isnt fresh as he will pull the pipe out. We saw him do it.

This one is natural, May, and I would think they all are. Of course, you know the lodge refills this one from time to time.

And, Bob...have no idea. It must just be the way Gabbi does things. Eye-wink Eye-wink

I'm under the impression this particular waterhole is manmade. I've heard it referred to as a borehole, meaning, I think, that it was dug out. And they do keep it filled with that pipe from the lodge.
